Originally an 18th Century shepherd's house and byres which have been imaginatively converted, the cottage
stands in five acres of farmland in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside. Between the Cheviot hills and the coast it provides the
best of all holiday worlds: peaceful open countryside, magnificent beaches, Holy Island (Lindisfarne), boat
trips to the Farne Islands, pretty villages, attractive border towns, and imposing castles to explore.
The cottage is a mile by road from St Cuthbert's Way, and close to the Devil's Causeway and iron age encampments.

has its own completely enclosed,
grassed garden where the children can play in safety, and you can sit in seclusion and enjoy the views.
The cottage has books, indoor games, a toy chest and outdoors games and toys. Bikes can be hired locally, and there
are cycle ways close by.
There are comprehensive guides to the local area and its attractions in the cottage, an
